03 Feb Resilience-based Recovery Secondary Programme
Our Resilience-based Recovery Programme of activities is designed to help 3rd Level, 4th Level and Senior Phase pupils (in England and Wales: Key Stage 3, Year 7 – 9; Key Stage 4, Year 10 – 11; Key Stage 5, Year 12 – 13) nurture their mental wellbeing and build the emotional resilience needed in these uncertain times that for many have caused heightened anxiety and stress.
Aims
To inspire and empower young people to develop healthy habits of mind and lasting life skills through their own regular Mindfulness practice.
To present a series of challenges to learners that require a creative response. We connect Mindfulness learning activities that can take place in school and at home, facilitate learner conversations and encourage peer-to-peer learning that develop a range of important life skills such as curiosity, open-mindedness, imagination and problem-solving – together these help to build a foundation for emotional resilience.
Structure
Our Resilience-based Recovery Activities are designed around the following 8 themes:
- Coping with Uncertainty
- Gratefulness and Positive Thoughts
- Sleep
- Nutrition
- Physical Exercise
- Device-free Time
- Relationships and Connecting
- Reflection
